Martha Zimmer is a happy mother of two, both grown with kids of their own. She grew up in Texas but has lived in Connecticut for more than ten years and loves New England. The desire to write books for young people began when she was a child and never went away, but “it took being 60 years old and having grandkids to get me going,” she says. When she isn’t writing, she is enjoying the people in her life - grandkids, nephews and nieces, parents, daughters, brothers and sisters, etc. – with whom she is blessed where she lives.

After a lifetime of reading and sharing the books of Madeleine L’Engle, George Macdonald, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien
and Mary Norton, “it was not surprising that I wanted to write a fantasy book of my own. C. S. Lewis said you can make anything by writing, and it’s absolutely true!”
