报告题目:Introduction of the Smart Energy Network Demonstrator (SEND) at UK

报告摘要:Funded by the ERDF and BEIS, SEND aims to create Europe’s largest‘at scale’ multi-vector smart energy demonstrator on KU campus. Occupying a 600-acre site, KU owns and operates all of the utilities on the campus thus creating a single owner/operator environment across power, heat and water. Annual energy demand across the campus is circa 63GWh. Being a private network, SEND is able to integrate existing water and electricity networks to form a digitally managed, flexible and extensible smart system. KU is working with Siemens and ENGIE to install the following infrastructure on the SEND network: 1500 smart meters (electric, and heat); 7.4MW renewable generators (1.9MW wind turbines, 5.5 MW solar farm); decentralised energy management system (DEMS); Mindsphere (IoT cloud platform); IoT smart appliance control; over 20 EV charging points; many home and commercial controllers.
